1. Certification
On successful completion of all requirements you receive a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training
Certificate from Himalaya Yoga (RYS 300). Together with your 200-hour certificate, this
qualifies you to apply for RYT® 500 registration with Yoga Alliance.
2. Your 300-Hour Journey – One Curriculum, Many Ways to Join
The 300-hour training follows one core curriculum, delivered in different formats:
intensive residential programs in India and Europe, and an online training option.
Each format keeps the same quality of teaching, while adapting the rhythm to the setting.
Building on your 200-hour foundation, you refine your practice, deepen your understanding
of yoga philosophy and anatomy, and learn to design and hold advanced-level classes,
workshops and retreats with clarity and confidence.
3. Course Curriculum & Syllabus (Yoga Alliance RYS 300)
The curriculum is aligned with Yoga Alliance requirements for advanced training and covers
all five main categories: techniques, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology,
philosophy and ethics, and practicum.
Techniques, Training & Practice
- Advanced asana practice with variations and intelligent use of props
- Refined alignment, modifications and options for different bodies
- Designing themed sequences for various levels and settings
- Integrating pranayama, meditation and relaxation into classes
Pranayama, Meditation & Subtle Body
- Progressive pranayama techniques taught with safety and clarity
- Mantra, concentration and meditation practices
- Chakras, nadis, koshas and prana vayus in a practical context
- Holding space for deeper inner work in classes and retreats
Yoga Philosophy & Ethics
- Key teachings from the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and Hatha yoga texts
- Dharma, karma, bhakti and jnana in day-to-day life
- Embodied philosophy – bringing the teachings into how you teach and live
- Ethics, boundaries, consent and cultural sensitivity in a global context
Anatomy & Physiology

4. Distribution of Hours (RYS 300 Structure)
The 300 hours are distributed across the Yoga Alliance Educational Categories so that you
receive a balanced training in practice, theory and teaching skills. The exact numbers may
vary slightly by location and format, but a typical structure looks like:
- Techniques, Training & Practice: ~120 hours
- Teaching Methodology: ~40 hours
- Anatomy & Physiology: ~30 hours
- Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethics: ~50 hours
- Practicum & Mentoring: ~60 hours
Most of these hours are delivered as live contact hours (in-person or online), complemented
by guided self-study, reading and assignments.
5. Sample Daily Schedule (Residential Format)
For residential trainings in India and Europe, days are structured to balance practice, study
and rest. Exact timings differ slightly by location and season, but a typical day might look like:
- 05:30 – 06:00 Wake-up & quiet time / self-practice
- 06:00 – 07:30 Morning pranayama, meditation & asana practice
- 07:30 – 09:00 Breakfast & short break
- 09:00 – 10:30 Philosophy, anatomy or subtle body class
- 10:45 – 12:15 Techniques / alignment lab or teaching methodology
- 12:30 – 13:30 Lunch
- 13:30 – 15:30 Rest, self-study, mentoring or personal practice
- 15:30 – 17:00 Practicum: practice teaching, feedback & workshops
- 17:15 – 18:30 Evening asana, restorative practice or special module
- 18:30 – 19:30 Meditation, satsang, chanting or reflective sharing
- 19:30 – 20:30 Dinner
- 21:00 Quiet time / lights out to support early mornings
Online trainings follow a schedule adapted to time zones, with clear guidance on home
practice and recommended self-study time between live sessions.
