How much does yoga teacher training cost? NYC, Europe and India.
A 200-hour Yoga Alliance training costs from about $500 in Rishikesh to over $4,000 in New York or London. Here is what the price usually includes, what it leaves out, and how to choose.

Every program below leads to the same Yoga Alliance 200-hour certificate. The price changes with where you study, how long you stay and what is included. Prices are typical ranges for well-reviewed schools as of November 2026.

Hidden costs
What the price often leaves out.
- Flights and transfers for residential trainings in Europe and India.
- A visa for India (most visitors apply for an e-Visa online).
- Travel insurance, and later teacher insurance if you start teaching.
- Books and sometimes the course manual.
- Yoga Alliance registration, paid to Yoga Alliance after you graduate, if you choose to register.
- Accommodation in city programs, and a private room upgrade in many residential ones.
